"The ML-Class is all grown up. The second generation ML (that’s a W163 to you Mercedes fans) is one slick-looking SUV, and in AMG form the ML 63 is also one very fast truck. Behind the huge Mercedes tri-pointed star in the grille is the AMG 6.2-liter V8, entirely constructed by AMG. Plant the throttle and 510 horsepower shoves you hard into the comfortable driver’s bucket seat. The speedometer swings around with frightening rapidity, and if you have a stopwatch handy you’ll find that 60 mph flashes by in 4.5 seconds—that’s nearly as fast as a base model Chevrolet Corvette C6. Roadholding is also on the astonishing side of good—a full 0.8 lateral Gs on your typical skidpad—thanks to typical AMG suspension improvements. AMG hasn’t ignored the already stylish exterior, fitting aerodynamic and visual add-ons like the larger alloy wheels filling up the nicely flared wheel arches. If you like going fast, but have a ton of stuff and like the added traction of all-wheel drive, then you can rest assured that the ML 63 AMG can do it all."
