"The proud owner of the 7th fastest lap of the Super Lap Battle’s Unlimited Class time attack challengers, the 2005 Mitsubishi #1 Sierra Enterprises Lancer Evolution Time Attack is a handling and speed expert eager to get your name on the top of the Rivals Leaderboard. Powered by a mostly unchanged 2.2-liter Cosworth engine that produced 716 horsepower, the car took home the Super Lap's Unlimited AWD class in 2009 and then snatched 1st place again next year shattering the FXMD NSX’s record. If you are a fan of breaking records (and who isn’t, honestly) this is the car to unlock and leave your mark in racing history."—Official description[1]
The 2005 Mitsubishi #1 Sierra Sierra Enterprises Lancer Evolution Time Attack - abbreviated as "#1 Evolution TA" - is an all-wheel drive track toy by Mitsubishi and Sierra Sierra Enterprises.
It appears in Forza Horizon 5 as part of Series 33.
Synopsis[]
Based on a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII, the Lancer Evolution Time Attack was developed by the North-American team Sierra Sierra Enterprises (SSE) in 2008 to compete in time attack racing, a series focused on getting the fastest lap time within a short racing period.
Coming from an open-wheel racing background, the Sierra Sierra team took on the Unlimited-class in time attack with the Evo VIII, going for severe weight reduction, the implementation of carbon fiber body panels, and equipping an aggressive aerodynamic package including bumpers, a front splitter, side skirts, fenders, a rear wing, and a Kaminari hood.
At the 2010 Redline Time Attack series, the Evo VIII set an all-wheel drive record along the Big Willow configuration of Willow Springs, claiming a 1:20.454 time with Formula Atlantic driver Jonathan Bomarito.[2]
Performance[]
It features a Cosworth 4G63 turbocharged 2.2-liter inline-four, and paired to a Quaife 5-speed transmission, produces nearly 950 hp (708 kW) and 703 ft·lb (953 N·m) of torque.[3]
