"Make room in your garage and your Hall of Fame for the car that has won the Dakar Rally 12 times, the JDM Jewels Car Pack is proud to present the 1997 Mitsubishi Montero Evolution. The road version of the back-to-back rally champion comes equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine able to produce 275 horsepower to plow through many terrains and surfaces. Contrary to normal 4x4 vehicles, the Montero’s body featured a hood scoop and two spoilers in the back. From the inside the Montero doesn’t even try to hide its racing origins. Two bucket seats in the front along with racing-style gauges so you feel like you are running against the clock in the roughest terrains imaginable."—Official description[1]
The 1997 Mitsubishi Montero Evolution - abbreviated as "Montero Evo" - is an all-wheel drive full-size SUV by Mitsubishi.
It appears in Forza Horizon 5 as part of the JDM Jewels Car Pack, which debuted in Series 36.
Synopsis[]
The Pajero Evolution - marketed as "Montero Evolution" in North America and Spanish speaking countries, and as "Shogun" in the United Kingdom - is part of the second-generation Mitsubishi Pajero specifically developed to meet homologation requirements for Mitsubishi to enter the T2 class of the Paris-Dakar Rally with its rally raid racing counterpart.[2]
Designed as a dedicated rally vehicle, the Pajero Evolution features large fender flares, two fin-like spoilers at each side, a hood scoop, skid plates, mudflaps, wider track and wheels, a full independent suspension with double wishbones at the front and a multi-link setup at the rear, and a sportier styling.[3]
It also received a new 3.5-liter 24-valve naturally-aspirated DOHC V6 engine enhanced with Mitsubishi's MIVEC valve timing technology, and paired to a 5-speed manual transmission, the Pajero produces 275 hp (205 kW) and 257 ft·lb (348 N·m) of torque at 6,500 rpm.[4]
