"With its more aggressive styling, the upgraded 2020 R35 Nismo features faster acceleration, improved cornering force and better braking performance than the previous 2017 model. Nissan has iteratively refined and improved its R35 “Godzilla” for over a decade. Being one of the longest running sports cars in the world, it only begs the question of what's next for the GT-R line? In the interim, there’s nothing that can quite match the appeal and immediate recognition of an R35 – it’s truly iconic – and this refined iteration is certain to catch the attention of many road goers with its familiarity and subtle yet effective enhancements."—Official description[1]
The 2020 Nissan GT-R Nismo - abbreviated as "Nissan GT-R '20" - is an all-wheel drive supercar by Nissan.
It appears in Forza Horizon 5 as part of Series 5 and in Forza Motorsport (2023).
Synopsis[]
The GT-R Nismo is an upgraded track-focused variant of the Nissan GT-R R35 done by NISMO, Nissan's performance division. Unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, the GT-R Nismo has received updates in 2019 and 2023 with significant performance upgrades.
In comparison to the standard model, the GT-R Nismo features a revised design reminiscent of the GT3 GT-R, with the implementation of a larger front splitter and diffuser, a carbon-fibre rear wing and cooling ducts to improve aerodynamics, a tuned suspension system, wider wheels and lighter materials for weight reduction.[2]
The VR38DETT 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine has also been improved upon, with larger turbochargers from the GT3 race car, and paired to a revised and optimized 6-speed dual-clutch transmission, has a power output of 600 hp (447 kW) and 481 ft·lb (652 N·m) of torque.[3]
