"For this season of giving, Nissan gave the Z a racing makeover and a nice little badge that reads NISMO. This not only means the car looks slicker, but it also performs better on the track. To start, the Z NISMO found a new twin-turbo V6 engine that produces 420 reindeerpower, wrapped under the tree with its name on it. Next to it was a handling package that includes Akebono performance brakes and a track-focused suspension. Instead of an itchy festive sweater, Nissan’s racing division gave the car a new aerodynamic look that evokes the brand’s past and improves downforce with side spoilers, air splitters, and a rear wing. Unlock and customize this car with the included Liberty Walk Rear Wing and Widebody Kit!"—Official description[1]
The 2024 Nissan Z NISMO - abbreviated as "Z NISMO '24" - is a rear-wheel drive sports car by Nissan.
It appears in Forza Horizon 5 as part of Series 41 and in Forza Motorsport (2023) as of Update 20.
Synopsis[]
Revealed in August 2023, the Nissan Z NISMO is a factory-tuned and upgraded version of the Nissan Z sports car. It is intended to be a more track-focused version of the standard Z.
The most notable upgrade of the Z NISMO is its improved VR30DDTT engine, now rated at 420 hp (313 kW) and 384 ft·lb (521 N·m). Other upgrades include stronger chassis bracing, a revised front splitter, a rear wing, larger brakes, stiffer suspension, Recaro bucket seats, and track-focused Dunlop tires. However, these upgrades come at the cost of an increased weight to 3704 lb (1680 kg) and the automatic transmission being the only option for the car[2].
Performance[]
The Z NISMO can hit 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.9 seconds, a 0.4 second increase over the standard Z, and finishes a 1/4 mile in 12.4 seconds at 114 mph (183 km/h)[3].
