"The GTX marked the end of the muscle car era and was one of the last models to offer the early Hemi engine. The 383 under the hood is all grunt; one listen will tell you it means business. That makes for the kind of ominous and powerful presence you expect. How much horsepower is under the hood? Let your right foot do the talking and you will undoubtedly be impressed."—Official description[1]
The 1971 Plymouth GTX Fast & Furious Edition is a custom variant of the 1971 Plymouth GTX.
It appears in Forza Motorsport 7 as part of The Fate of the Furious Car Pack.
Synopsis[]
The 1971 Plymouth GTX is a car driven by Dominic Toretto in the 2017 film The Fate of the Furious. Dominic uses it to steal Russian nuclear codes in New York City but the car is later wrecked and abandoned.
Performance[]
The Plymouth GTX used in The Fate of the Furious is equipped with a supercharged 7.2L V8 engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission that produces 2000 hp (1491 kW) and 1615 ft·lb (2190 N·m), making it the most powerful car in the Forza series.
The Plymouth GTX FF has one of the highest top speeds in the Forza series, with a top speed of 269 mph (433 km/h) - tied with the Bugatti Chiron - also making it the fastest front-engined car in the series. To match its extremely powerful V8 engine, the GTX FF also has a very rapid acceleration to 100 mph (161 km/h), done in 4.9 seconds, a feat achieved by few cars in the series, let alone with rear-wheel drive.
As a top speed-focused car, though, the GTX FF suffers from severe understeer at high speeds and is very difficult to control when going very fast. This also jeopardizes its braking abilities, as it requires a very long distance to come to a stop safely.
