"Pontiac G8 GXP, we hardly knew ye. Available for just two model years, in incredibly low production numbers (less than 2,000 GXPs made it off of Pontiac lots), the G8 was introduced too late to save storied Pontiac from being axed by a financially troubled General Motors. Had the G8 GXP shown up a few years earlier, it might have been a different story, because this is not merely a credible sport sedan—it’s a great one. The last Pontiac V8 is also the most powerful Pontiac ever built, with a Corvette-sourced, 6.2-liter LS3 smallblock residing behind split grilles (and underneath a split hoodscoop). The 415 horsepower leaves the engine and heads for the fully-independent rear axle, where huge rear rubber resides to translate all that juice into forward momentum. Mash the gas and 60 mph will be dispatched in 4.7 seconds; 100 mph takes only a hair over 11 seconds to overcome. More so than the GTO that immediately preceded it, the G8 looks the part, too, with a handsomely carved exterior and just the right amount of external cues to the massive performance lurking within. An extended front air dam is complemented out back by the restrained yet sporty lip spoiler and quad exhaust tips. Identically sized rubber all around and suspension tuned on the famed Nürburgring mean that the G8 GXP is a surprisingly neutral handler, not prone to excessive over- or understeer (although the latter can certainly be initiated with liberal application of the throttle). Overall, the G8 GXP is a great-looking performance sedan that lived fast and died (too) young."
—Official description[1]

The 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP is a sports sedan by Pontiac featured in Forza Motorsport 3, Forza Motorsport 4 and Forza Motorsport 7.

The G8 GXP was a rebadged variant of the Holden Commodore that was imported to the North American market. The GXP was the most powerful model of the Pontiac G8, but was only offered in 2009 due to the Pontiac brand being discontinued within that same year.

After its discontinuation, there would be no rear-wheel drive sedan by General Motors until the introduction of the Chevrolet SS in 2013.[2]
