The 2018 Porsche 718 Cayman GTS - abbreviated as "Porsche 718 GTS" - is a rear-wheel drive sports car by Porsche.
It appears in Forza Horizon 4 as part of Update 13 and all subsequent main series titles.
Synopsis[]
The 718 Cayman GTS is a fourth generation Porsche Cayman model (codenamed 982) that replaces the previous generation 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS. Powered by a four-cylinder engine, both the 982 Cayman and open-top Boxster received the 718 moniker, a reference to the historic Porsche 718 RS 60 race car that was successful in motorsport.[1]
Drivetrain[]
Instead of the 3.4 liter naturally-aspirated flat-six of its predecessor, the 718 Cayman GTS is powered by a smaller capacity 2.5 liter flat-four engine, boosted by a turbocharger with lag-reducing variable turbine geometry. Apart from a lower fuel consumption, the flat-four increases power to 361 hp (269 kW) and torque to 317 ft·lb (430 N·m) across a wider power band of 1900 to 5000 rpm.
Platform[]
Although its platform is shared with its predecessor, the 718 Cayman GTS weighs 170 lb (77 kg)[2] more than the 2015 Cayman GTS in the Forza series, as the latter is incorrectly featured with the weight figure of the manual model despite also being a double-clutch model.
