"Before building the this custom car, Guntherwerks was known primarily as a manufacturer of after-market wheels and other parts for luxury vehicles. This rebuilt Porsche 911 Carerra 2, also known as the 400R, represents their first custom car build. 25 of these performance vehicles were built, making them incredibly rare.
Guntherwerks imagined what a GT3 RS version of the 993 could look like when they designed the 400R. The goal in the Rothsport-built engine and lightweight body were performance above all, which is unusual in the world of custom luxury cars, which normally emphasize comfort over speed.
"
—Official description[1]

The 1995 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 by Gunther Werks - abbreviated as "Porsche 911C2 GW" - is a rear-wheel drive sports car by Porsche.

It is featured in Forza Horizon 4 since Update 21 and was included in Forza Horizon 5 as part of Series 10.

Synopsis[]

The Gunther Werks Porsche 911 Carrera 2 is a resto-modded Porsche 911 of the 993 generation sold in a limited production run of 25 units.

The "Carrera 2" in its name is a popular moniker to differentiate rear-wheel drive Carrera models of the 993 from the all-wheel drive "Carrera 4" models, although the rear-wheel drive variant was never named with the "2" suffix by Porsche.

Drivetrain[]

The original 993 generation Porsche 911 Carrera 2 is powered by a 3.6L naturally-aspirated F6 engine. Its standard transmission is a 6-speed manual, and a 4-speed automatic is optional for rear-wheel drive Carrera and Targa models.

Gunther Werks provides a 4.0L naturally-aspirated flat-six engine and a 6-speed manual transmission for their remastered cars.
