The GT2 was the fastest car of the sixth generation Porsche 911, known as 997, before the GT2 RS was released. It shares its engine with the all-wheel drive equipped 997 Turbo although the GT2 is featured with more power.
This car would eventually be replaced by the more powerful GT2 RS variant.
