The 1989 Porsche 944 Turbo - abbreviated as "Porsche 944" - is a front-engine, rear-wheel drive sports car by Porsche.
It appears in Forza Motorsport (2005) and all subsequent Xbox 360 Motorsport titles.
It returns with every Porsche Expansion Pack add-on for the Forza series, and is available as standard in all subsequent titles since Forza Horizon 3.
Synopsis[]
The 944 Turbo is the highest-performing model of the Porsche 944, a front-engined sports car that succeeded the Porsche 924 in 1982 and was replaced by the Porsche 968 in 1991.
Drivetrain[]
Unlike most Porsche cars in Forza, the 944 Turbo is powered by a four-cylinder engine. Codenamed "M44.52", it has 2.5 liter displacement, turbocharging and mated to a five-speed manual transmission. It produces 247 hp (184 kW) and 258 ft·lb (350 N·m) of torque.
Platform[]
Due to a longitudinal front engine and transaxle, a rear axle incorporating the differential and transmission, the 944 Turbo has near perfect weight distribution with 51% of its weight at the front.[2]
