"A “tachyon” is a theoretical particle that scientists hypothesize would travel faster than the speed of light. The RAESR Tachyon is a 1250 horsepower EV hypercar with a jetfighter design that can reach 240mph and travel 150 miles on a single charge. See the difference? The Tachyon Speed features a carbon fiber body, all-wheel drive, and six direct drive electric motors that provide its horsepower. It’s incredibly light, coming in at less than 3000 lbs., and ridiculously aerodynamic, featuring an adjustable rear wing (and four front wings), plus a tandem seating design similar to a jet fighter to minimize the drag coefficient. The resulting silhouette is long, wide and low, making for a unique driving experience and the power to back it up. The Tachyon Speed was developed by Rice Advanced Engineering Systems and Research starting back in 2012 with the goal of bringing the ultimate performance in EV hypercars to low volume production."—Official description[1]
The 2019 RAESR Tachyon Speed - abbreviated as "RAESR TS '19" - is an all-wheel drive electric concept hypercar by RAESR.
It appears in Forza Horizon 4 since Update 33 and all subsequent main series titles.
Synopsis[]
The RAESR Tachyon Speed is the first prototype model developed by automotive startup company RAESR. Targeting the Rimac Concept Two and other electric hypercars, the Tachyon Speed is powered by six electric motors with a combined output of 1251 hp (933 kW) and is claimed to max out at 240 mph (386 km/h).[2]
The dramatically styled carbon fiber body features a jet fighter-style canopy, and is fitted with a rear wing using active aerodynamic flaps that are deployed under hard braking. As the curb weight is rated at 3198 lb (1451 kg), the Tachyon Speed is one of the lightest electric cars in Forza.
