"With high speed waterfront straights, and tricky elevation shifts, Rio de Janeiro Circuit was built to test even the heartiest of drivers while providing a stunning backdrop to any race. Narrow city streets and tunnels open up to mountain views, it’s easy to get distracted by so much ambience so paying attention to braking zones is important. Gorgeous beaches flash by and, beyond them, the unmistakable thumb-shaped slice of Sugarloaf Mountain rises ahead of you. Behind you, brightly colored favelas dominate the landscape like a box of candy spilling out over the hills. If you had a moment of respite, you could pause to enjoy the view of the outstretched arms of the world-famous Christ the Redeemer statue in the distance. As it stands, however, you’re surrounded by 23 opponents on the tight, winding streets of Rio, and you have a race victory waiting with your name on it…"

Strategy[]

  • Going too fast through the straights is not recommended, as many high-speed straights are immediately followed by sudden sharp corners.
  • Some of Rio de Janeiro's roads are narrow, making clean racing more difficult.

Trivia[]

  • First seen in Forza Motorsport (2005), the track was absent from following releases until its appearance in Forza Motorsport 6.
