Rivian is an American electric vehicle manufacturer featured in Forza Horizon 5 since Series 25.
Synopsis[]
Rivian was founded in 2009 as Mainstream Motors by Robert "RJ" Scaringe. Its first car was planned to be a mid-engine, hybird, coupe named the R1. However, this was shelved in 2011 as Rivian looked to have a larger impact on the automotive industry.
In December 2017, Rivian revealed its first two models the R1T (originally named A1T), an electric pickup truck and the R1S (originally named A1C), an electric SUV. Deliveries for the R1T began in October 2021 and the R1S in December 2021.
Rivian has also collaborated with Amazon to produce the Electric Delivery Van (EDV), used for Amazon's package delivery. In February 2025, the van was made available to purchase by other businesses as the Rivian Commercial Van (RCV).[1]
Rivian has planned two smaller SUVs, the R2 and R3 for a 2026 release.[2]
