"Ditching the rear wing and the hood intake was a bold move, but certainly the right one when designing the 2022 Subaru BRZ, an ice-cold successor to a 2020 classic. This revamped version has superior grip and handling as well as an overhauled outside that significantly improved the aerodynamics of the car. Built in collaboration with Toyota, Subaru made the decision of increasing the capacity from 2.0 to 2.4-liters which now produces 228 bhp of pure jingle bellin’ fun. The weather might be frightful, but the BRZ’s so delightful. Even if you have nowhere to go, let it run, let it run, let it run!"—Official description[1]
The 2022 Subaru BRZ - abbreviated as "SUBARU BRZ '22" and also known as "SUBARU BRZ"[2] - is a front-engine, rear-wheel drive sports car by Subaru.
It appears in Forza Horizon 5 as part of Series 28 and in Forza Motorsport (2023).
Synopsis[]
The 2022 second-generation BRZ is the follow up the 2013 model, alongside its badge engineered cousin, the 2022 GR86.
Unlike the prior generation, the roof, hood, and front fenders of both cars are made from aluminium, resulting in a lowered center of gravity for both cars, and reducing weight to compensate for the new, larger engine, which has been bored out to 2.4 liters.
The center of gravity and weight was reduced further by dropping the turbocharger from the previous generation, although the naturally aspirated engine with greater displacement puts out 15% more horsepower at 228 hp (170 kW) and 20% more torque at 184 ft·lb (249 N·m) over the previous generation model's 197 hp (147 kW) and 151 ft·lb (205 N·m) of torque.
