"Subaru brought new game to 1990 dealer showrooms, putting aside its smaller, quirkier wagons and sedans for the new Legacy line. These cars were much more substantial in size, quality, and amenities. The Legacy RS Turbo was the most powerful model and still has a strong following among Subie enthusiasts. Its rally racing record is considerable and proved its endurance and ability to perform, and this was prior to Subaru’s dominance of the WRC. The highly desirable EJ20G engine later used in the WRX made more than 200 horsepower and provided a new level of performance. Subaru all-wheel drive keeps the Legacy RS steady and capable under any conditions on any surface."—Official description[1]
The 1990 Subaru Legacy RS is an all-wheel drive sports sedan by Subaru.
It appears in Forza Motorsport 4 as part of the May Top Gear Car Pack.
It returned in Forza Horizon 2 as part of the Falken Tire Car Pack, and appears as standard in all subsequent main series titles, with its inclusion in Forza Horizon 5 as part of Series 11.
Synopsis[]
The Legacy RS is the performance model of the first generation Subaru Legacy that was offered from 1989 to 1993.
Designed as a Group A rally car, it has a permanent all-wheel drive system powered by the EJ20G, a turbocharged flat-four engine with 217 hp (162 kW).
It competed in the World Rally Championship from 1990 to 1993 with moderate success. Similar to Mitsubishi with the Galant VR-4, the Legacy RS was replaced by a smaller chassis car, the Subaru Impreza, for subsequent seasons.
