Synopsis[]
Unveiled on September 10, 2021 for the 2022 model year, the second-generation standalone WRX (VB) is the successor to the first-generation WRX (VA).
It features a redesigned body, a new platform from the Subaru Global Platform (SGP), and a Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, as well as a new FA24F 2.4-liter turbocharged boxer engine paired to either a revised 6-speed manual transmission or a Subaru CVT, which produces 271 hp (202 kW) and 258 ft·lb (350 N·m) of torque.[2]
