Top Gear is a British motoring magazine and television show surrounding motor vehicles. In 2002, a revamp to the format of the show was undertaken. Now a studio based form, it relaunched under the same title of the original TV programme from 1977.
Content from Top Gear has been provided to Forza since Forza Motorsport 3, after a "long-term" deal was signed to collaborate and co-promote on all future Motorsport titles.[1]
Top Gear's integration into the Forza series extended into the Horizon series, beginning with Forza Horizon, however, the show did not make an appearance in Forza Horizon 3.

- Jeremy Clarkson, one of the previous Top Gear hosts, provides the voice for the intro of the game and for the Autovista feature in game.
- The Top Gear hangar, where the show is filmed, can be used as a home background, which can be changed in the "Cars" menu in career.
- The track used in Top Gear's show, known as the Top Gear Test Track, is used in the game and can be driven on.
- Since Forza Motorsport 4, all proceeding Motorsport titles have featured themed events scattered throughout the singleplayer campaign dedicated to and named after Top Gear.
- Forza Horizon 4 features The Top Gear Horizon Special Horizon Story, where 2 Top Gear vehicles can be redeemed.
- With the exception of Forza Horizon 4, all games featuring Top Gear have the Top Gear Car Pack as downloadable content. Unique to Forza Motorsport 3, this pack was instead named the Stig's Garage Car Pack and was available through a physical code as part of the Ultimate Collection release, it was also available through the marketplace before reaching the End Of Life status.
- The Stig, a prominent character in Top Gear, is designated as The Stig's Digital Cousin in the Forza series and is playable in Forza Motorsport 7 and Forza Horizon 4.
