Tortoise and the Hare is an achievement in Forza Horizon 4.

It can be unlocked by completing a PvP Showdown race in an X class car and a D class car.

Guide

To unlock this achievement, the Player must be connected to Horizon Life (which requires Xbox Game Pass Core or Ultimate on consoles). The player will also need to own a D Class car and an X class car (which can only be achieved by upgrading certain high-class cars).

The Player will then need to find a race route of their desire, but it can be completed quickest using the Festival Drag Strip. Then, the Player needs to select the "PvP" option in the race menu, select the "Showdown" option, and select a D Class or X Class car. The Player will need then to search for another player in the Horizon Life session, or have a player in their Convoy to be able to start the race.

Once a player has been found, the Player will then need to complete the race, they do not need to win the race. The player then will need to redo the process for the Performance Index class that they did not choose in the first race.

When both races are completed, the achievement will be unlocked.

The Player can also get Human After All achievement, while going for this one.

Trivia

• The achievement's name is a reference to one of Aesop's Fables, "The Tortoise and the Hare", with the tortoise being a D Class car, while the hare being an X class car.
