"It’s fun, it’s fast, and it’s ready for a road trip. The new Toyota GR86 features a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder boxer engine that delivers 228 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. 0-60 in 6.1 seconds with a top speed of 140mph ensure the GR86 takes you anywhere in speedy time. It’s also fitted with a dual chrome-tipped exhaust, track-tuned suspension and 18-inch matte-black painted alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport4 tires that assist with traction control. With a front-engine, rear-wheel drive layout, the GR86 feels nimble around every twist and turn on the road."
—Official description[1]

The 2022 Toyota GR86 is a front-engine, rear-wheel drive sports car by Toyota.

It appears in Forza Horizon 5 as part of Series 23.

Synopsis[]

The 2022 second-generation GR86 is the follow up to the GT86, alongside its badge-engineered cousin, the 2022 Subaru BRZ.

It debuted on April 5th 2021 and was briefly named "GR 86". Just like second-generation BRZ, the roof, hood and front fenders are made from aluminium, resulting in a lowered center of gravity and reduced weight gained from the new 2.4-liter engine[2].

The main difference between the GR86 and the BRZ, just like with the previous generation BRZ, GT86 and FR-S, is the front bumper, which Toyota calls a functional "Matrix Grille".

Performance[]

The GR86 features a 2.4-liter naturally-aspirated flat-four engine and is fitted to either a 6-speed manual or an optional 6-speed automatic transmission, producing 228 hp (170 kW) and 184 ft·lb (249 N·m) of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.3 seconds[3].
