The W30 codenamed third generation Toyota MR2 was available for 2000 and all subsequent model years until 2007. It was renamed to Toyota MR-S in Japan, but retained the MR2 name in export markets.
Unlike the W20 codenamed second generation MR2, which was available as a coupé with a fixed roof or t-top, the W30 was only available as a two-door soft-top roadster. Its engine selection was also limited to the 1ZZ-FED engine with 1.8 liter displacement and 138 hp (103 kW).
