Synopsis

The #22 Golf GTI - commonly referred to as "Golf GTI TCR" - is a touring car based on a seventh generation Golf GTI and designed for use in TCR Touring Car specification series, such as the FIA World Touring Car Cup (WTCR).

Developed by Volkswagen Motorsport and SEAT's racing department, it had its competitive debut in the 2018 season.

Powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine paired to a DSG 6-speed sequential transmission with paddle shift, the Golf GTI produces over 340 hp (254 kW) and 310 ft·lb (420 N·m) of torque.
