Wuling is a Chinese car manufacturer featured in Forza Horizon 5.
Synopsis[]
Wuling Motors was founded in 1958 as the Liuzhou Power Machinery Factory, undergoing a number of name changes as well as manufacturing tractors and power machinery, before being established as an automotive manufacturer in 1982 as Liuzhou Wuling Automobile.
Their first vehicle, the Wuling LZ110, eventually became the name of the company - "Wuling" - which translates to "five diamonds" in Mandarin Chinese, referencing the logo of the company.
The company has been in various partnerships with various automakers to badge engineer their vehicles. Parts were initially mostly imported for their early vehicles, but would later be mostly manufactured in-house. In 2002, Wuling entered a technical partnership with SAIC Motor and General Motors to become SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile.[1]
Wuling's current automobiles are nicknamed "bread boxes" due to their boxy appearance and have sold well in lower-income areas, with one of their best selling models being the Hongguang S Classic.
In 2015, the company was listed as the Guangxi Automotive Group in China, with Wuling Motors as a subsidiary being listed in Hong Kong.
