Synopsis[]
XPeng Motors (pronounced "X-png") is the trading name for Guangzhou Xiaopeng Motors Technology Co Ltd. The company's headquarters are in Guangdong, with additional offices in California.
The company was founded in 2014 by Henry Xia and He Tao, former senior executives at GAC Group, with backing from former Alibaba executive He Xiaopeng, of which the company gets its name.
Its first car, the G3, was launched in 2018; with a sedan, the P7, launched in 2019. The P7 is also the company's first export product, being exported since 2021.
